Just going to update this commentary ad hoc through the day, 23 votes now and we have

Dan continues to gradually pull the votes back.

Closes at 9 pm - I reckon we have maybe 6 to 9 more votes to come in, is there enough run way for someone to close the gap or has Stuart got it sewn up?

Yes, I care that having converted to Stuart he now wins

I did think you were a bit quick to pretty much dismiss Stuart's chances of winning, with previous tightish votes and these awkward vote switchers.

Can he hang on now from this month's strong field?

I was too quick I agree!!

Can he hang on as you say? It is hard to gauge where it will end - I reckon we have 6 to 9 votes to come (as all other groups have had 29-32 overall), but probably 6 or 7 in reality...so it will be a drip, drip as usual over the day and a gradual build!

For me it was a tough decision in the end between Dan and Stuart. Very difficult not to vote for Dan who won his first ever ATP title this month, but in the end, Stuart got my vote for getting his first ITF title, then backing it up with another and all through some truly epic performances and fightbacks.

and Dan is drawn level, 29 votes in and a 2 way tie between Stuart and Dan.

We have maybe 1-3 votes left before 9 pm, unless some new voters come in (welcome, please do!) AND a tie to possibly break!

To Jans point - weve not had a draw before but if we reach 9 pm when I close proceedings , if we do have a tie we will definitely call it a draw, we dont need a winner for the sake of it.

that said , I do hope we do see a winner !
