Ive wondered a bit about this. I want my PoM, ideally to be a champion that
Month. Not always. But I like it. And to have done it more than one week or match. Consistency. And to beat expectations. Several hit the last item, the player who ticked all 3 boxes for me is in fact Stuart. Im sure he wont win as he lost in both previous rounds. But. Stuart for me.
I'm a switcher to Stuart from the QF when I just picked Fran over Stuart ( I did pick Stuart over Joe in the SF ). I've been persuaded by these 2 titles, particularly the second with MPs saved in both his QF and final and in that final a quite remarkable comeback from a set down plus *0-5 in the second set.
Dan clearly has a very strong case too, and very possibly a winning case in another month. But this month it's Stuart for me.

I've advocated for Stuart in other rounds but an ITF 15K title is simply not comparable with an ATP250 title
Its not, its true, but I think there is a lot to be said for achievements relative to someones ranking/status/history. Dan , being frank, deserved it but then, losing to Cam in AO took the shine off just a tad!
Joe deserved it also, and Fran as well - although she wins it every month, pretty much!
long way to go folks, 6 votes in, lots more to come! I am sure this will develop overnight and tomorrow morning will leave us with a decent view of things!
Based on previous rounds, Dan probably enters this as favourite with Joe a quietly achieving 2nd favourite, perhaps with Fran, but Stuart is coming in as the slight outsider really
I can't help but be impressed by Stuart and his achievements, so voting for him. Four worthy finalists though, but other 3 could have just done a bit more at their respective levels, in my opinion.
11 votes in as we go into the night. Slightly slower than previous rounds, but I have no doubt we will reach the same levels of around 30 when we finish.
Stuart leads with 5
Joe has 4
Dan and Fran both have just 1
Long way to go but slightly topsy turvy compared to expectations!
