FQR: (q4) Ryan Peniston d. (q2)Otto Virtanen (FIN) 6-1, 6-3

Ryan qualifies for 4 challengers in a row, can he get a main draw win this time?

Obviously Ryan is picking up 1st round money (and maybe a little more when he has entered doubles) and these events have hospitality. Would a player be able to continue to use the provided hospitality once knocked out of the tournament and waiting for the next one or is it then down to the players to pay for the rest of the week?

Thats a very good question. I imagine in these back to back events, theyll want to keep players in situ and cover the cost although I have no idea

I thought that the players only had complimentary rooms until the night after they get knocked out.

I understood the same as you, the addict, and that it didn't count for qualis (although that might have changed?)

I imagined with these back to back events theyve put on, part of the aim would be to create a sort of bubble and theyd encourage players to play multiple events in one place? So hence thought they may cover accommodation, whatever the usual rules?

Yes but they've got you anyway. i.e. you're only making the effort to go if you want to play the whole swing, so you'll stay and pay whatever.

But, yes, possible....

Looks like it's a middling thing - you get till Wednesday, unless you win, then you get longer.

But only for the main draw, there's mention of qualis for ATP events but not for challengers (unless I've missed it)

2020 regs:

ATP Challenger Tour Tournaments
a) Complimentary hotel accommodations are mandatory at all ATP Challenger
Tour tournaments. Accommodations are defi ned as one (1) complimentary
double room (2 beds) for the use of each player, including one (1) guest, at a
hotel approved by ATP. The room must be occupied by the registered player
who is responsible for charges resulting from any third or more person(s)
staying in the room as well as all incidental costs charged to the room.

b) Singles Main Draw. Complimentary use of rooms for the tournament week
are available for five (5) nights, Saturday through Wednesday or through the
night of the players last match (singles/doubles), whichever is later

There's a paragraph in the Addendum to the 2021 regulations re qualifiers

Qualifiers.
Complimentary hotel accommodations for players in the singles qualifying shall be available to begin on the night before the start of qualifying competition and be available to each player through the night of the player's last qualifying match (not applicable for events with 48 main draw).
Successful qualifiers shall have their hospitality at the official hotel made retroactive from Friday night (not applicable for events with 48 main draw).

This is intriguing: does the player get to go back in time and check in earlier?

That was just for Challenger qualifying

For ATP1000 to 250 events, there is a paragraph in the main section (there are four pages in the rulebook just for accommodation !)

"Hotel accommodations for players in the singles qualifying shall be available to begin on the night before the start of qualifying competition and be available to each player through the night of the player's last qualifying match. "

Edit:- Haven't time right now to read it all  !
