The very definition of a mixed bag as far as the 8 Q positions go - one Q vs Q spot, one vs a WC, 2 against players using PR, and another against the top seed. I think all 8 Q matches have now finished, so we should know who Eden faces soon.
R1:- Jodie Anna Burrage (GBR) WR259 v Reka-Luca Jani (HUN) WR208 [4] R1:- Eden Silva (GBR) [Q9] WR495 v Anastasia Gasanova (RUS) WR231 [7]
and Jodie lost her doubles against the top seeds, but it was close in the second set with 3 breaks each
L16:- Mirjam Bjorklund (SWE) / Jodie Anna Burrage (GBR) CR1414 (1044+370) LOST TO Lesley Pattinama Kerkhove / Bibiane Schoofs (112+99) [1] 2-6 (5)6-7
Jani is a BJ King Cup regular for Hungary and back in 2011 played in the 1st round of the US Open She qualified and in her one and only GS singles match lost in a third set tie break to future GS champion Sloane Stephens.

Another match where Jodie is the favourite against a higher ranked opponent, a big one in this case (1/3 vs 9/4).
The current ranking system will likely have an impact, and respective UTRs of course, but that's part of the reason why I have fairly high hopes, and was a bit disappointed when good opportunities for significant points in Dubai W100 and (initially) in WTA Abu Dhabi weren't taken up, as it could have acted as a short cut to get her current ranking more up to where her UTR would suggest.
Hopefully she can have another decent week here to continue to gradually move up the rankings. There are streams on the same site as last week - 360sport.co.za/
