Katie S could meet the wonderfully named Volynets in the third round if they both come through - Volynets must be the best name for a tennis player ever.

Katie Volynets was the US 18  junior champion  of 2019. She had a wild card into the US Open where she lost to Bianca Andreescu on route to her title win. In a different era she could have played doubles with Anna Smashnova.

Yes, Smashnova used to my favourite

But she drops the 2nd by the same score 7-5 5-7 *0-0.

Has #2 seed Govortsova definitely pulled out Andy? Can't see any info anywhere, and she's still on the OOP.

Watching Naiktha now for the deciding set until Burnley vs Fulham starts at 6. Just switched stream on and Naiktha is not happy with the umpire.

Had a successive break back points, but not taken, *1-3.

Katie underway, and serving first.

It was meant to be on around 6.30ish, and I was wondering why it was well delayed, but I think they might have changed venues from indoors to outdoors. It doesn't look like you can stream the matches any more either unfortunately.

It was always planned as an outdoor event, perhaps the weather in Orlando has been up and down, it is February I guess!

its predicting rain in 20 mins and Friday is 80 percent chance of rain, despite being 25 degrees

Whatever court she's on, she's made a really good start. 3-0* and just the 4 points dropped thus far.

Hopefully it's not interrupted if they are currently outside.

Go to web.playsight.com posted earlier, (registration required) and the court links are under USTA National Campus Player Development, but a "subscribed members only" message comes up after a few seconds. Don't know why the Bains match wasn't effected earlier.

Govortsova is still there - silly mistake by me - too many late night for me at the moment. Can't think why?
