Order of play out tomorrow and Jodie is 2nd on Court 3. Play starts at 7.30am UK, and Jodie is NB 9.30 UK, and looking at the previous match on that court there's probably a good chance she'll start at that time.
I'm not sure if this was mentioned on the men's thread, or if it even applies to that event, but you can watch all 4 courts on the below site:
She's actually the very narrow betting favourite, for what it's worth, although saying that, she has been the favourite in a lot of her defeats recently, so possibly not too much.
I've not been watching as I'm still catching up on the overnight AO stuff, but Jodie is currently 7-6(5) 5-2* up. Hopefully she can see it through from this great position.
Jodie's doubles are scheduled for this afternoon, nb 3pm local
Yep, one of 3 tennis players with that name, although the most famous one has retired (and so might have the youngest one). She came through quals, and had a really good R1 win today, and I see she has beaten some other decent players in recent months, so could be dangerous, but hopefully Jodie can push on now that she has already come through the more difficult match on paper.
Same court and time for Jodie tomorrow, 2nd on Court 3, N.B 9.30am UK.
Not wanting to look too far ahead, but Haddad Maia lost today against compatriot Alves (who Jodie next faces in the doubles), and that was a potential QF opponent, although another potential QF opponent is Gasanova who had a stunning run at WTA Abu Dhabi last month to knock about 80 spots off her ranking, but a job to do first tomorrow before thinking about any of that.
Continuing the partner theme from the Katie B thread, Jodie's doubles buddy is the partner of Dennis Shapovalov, so hope she's not too distracted by Australia and focuses suitably tomorrow . Mirjam lost a tight 3 setter in her singles to the number 6 seed today. Good luck with dubs ( and in singles tomorrow for Jodie - good win today)
