Djokovic vs Fritz now at 2 sets all. Will Djokovic carry on ?

Or will it be a classic Djoko situation? Keeling over but then "miraculously" finding his fitness and coming through...we have seen it so many times before...

Raonic awaits the winner and I have to say I have a feeling about Raonic in that, whoever he plays...

Well, they sure won't stop the match to help Djoko to recover. Was that a cynical hat on, Jon?

I know in covid times that there are far more important things than sport but politicians can be a bit daft eg. not allowing a lockdown exception for the clear possibility that the Aus Open would conflict wirh the midnight lockdown, just as eg. introducing a 10 pm pub curfew in Scotland to tie in splendidly with the Scotland vs Israel Euro play-off SF which unevitably went to extra time and penalties and again, no practical exception made for that one night.

The thought had occurred to me and given the way he is playing in the final set, I do wonder how much of this is mind games.

And why he will never get the respect that Federer and Nadal do.

Does anyone really believe he is injured anymore? I could not belive his price drifted out to 4 (3/1) when Fritz was on top. Easiest £30 I ever made!!

I don't know why he does it. Is it to show how superhuman he is? And that roar at the end....Embarressing!

I watched a bit of the match in the hopes that Fritz would pull it off, but once Djoko had the break in the 5th, I turned it off, knowing what was to come.

I can see Thiem, Zverev, Medvedev or Tsitsipas getting the better of Novak. Id be amazed it either he or Rafa got into the final. Finally changing of the guard time for me watching all these guys.

Bookies kind of agree Jaggy, Medvedev now the very slight favourite at the majority of sites (even a round behind), and you can now get 4/1 for Djokovic at Betfred - I'm quite tempted. Certainly don't want him to win it, but would be nice to at least profit on him if he did.
