For some reason, the ITF wheelchair rankings arent updated yet this week for what will be the last major rankings list of the season - from this point, it is all minor events that the top players wont play in or certainly wont see ranking changes from.

It may have been asked before, but it occurred to me while I was reading the Alfie Hewett saga: can able-bodied people play wheelchair tennis? I assume that they are not allowed to compete (or the Alfie Hewett saga wouldn't have been a saga), but why not?
