Great win for Jordanne WHiley, won her semi final over the 2nd seed and into tomorrows womens singles final. Plays world number one Diede de Groot of Netherlands.

Alfie Hewett also won his semi over Gordon Reid, and is into the final , where he plays top seed and world number one Shingo Kunieda of Japan

Coming through to the finals day, tomorrow, we have:

Mens singles - Alfie Hewett in the final
Womens singles - Jordanne Whiley in the final
Quad Doubles - Antony Cotterill and Andy Lapthorne in the final

and then

Mens Doubles - Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid playing their semi later today
Womens Doubles - Lucy Shuker and Jordanne Whiley playing their semi later today

Jordanne and Lucy also lost their final but Alfie and Gordon are British Open mens doubles champs to go with their Wimbledon title two weeks ago! Congrats to them!

Jordanne lost her womens singles final but had a good month with a Wimbledon doubles title, runner up in the British Open singles and doubles and semis in the Wimbledon singles.

Gordon Reid took mens doubles at Wimbledon and British Open and was Wimbledon singles runner up.

But Alfie Hewett is a double champion here, beating world number one Kunieda today in singles to add to his British Open doubles and Wimbledon doubles title , 2 titles this week!

the paralympic events are the next big event, running 27th August to 4th September. US Open and USTA Championships follow hard on that.

Paralympics in a weeks time (tennis event) so that should be exciting.

After that the US Open follows closely behind, in second week of the main Slam. The Super Series USTA Champs in St Louis have been cancelled which is sad, Covid reasons.

SO after the US Open , we then have Wheelchair World Team Cup (DC and Fed Cup equivalent) at the end of September, and the Wheelchair Masters (Tour Finals) in early November, in Orlando, which will draw the season to an end at the top level. The Wheelchair Masters may end up in doubt, although with a smaller field it may be it is more manageable

The Paralympics Schedule is below - whereas the Slams have a field of 8 players, the Paralympics is 56 in singles. Arguably, therefore, bigger than the Slams and possibly the pinnacle of the game.

The Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games will start with the Opening Ceremony at the Olympic Stadium on Tuesday 24 August 2021 and will close on Sunday 5 September 2021.

The Paralympic Wheelchair Tennis Event will start on Friday 27 August and finish on Saturday 4 September, but may be extended as necessary for completion and is subject to change.

The draw will take place on Wednesday 25 August 2021.
