Big chance, big stage comparatively for her. Learning experience that she'll surely put to good use in a few weeks.
Was this her first WTA main draw outing?

[1] Barty vs. [16] Bouzkova Rogers vs. [7] Martic [3] Pliskova vs. [13] Collins Pironkova vs. [5] S. Williams
[8] Vondrousova vs. Zvonareva [14] Podoroska vs. [4] Kvitova [6] Muguruza vs. [14] Pavlyuchenkova Pegula vs. [2] Kenin
Symmetry again but this time 6 seeds in the top half and 6 seeds in the bottom half , better survival than Gippsland. All top 8 seeds still there.
In terms of personal interest, 2nd quarter looks the best to me, some good and entertaining names. Seems like a decent number of Americans left as well in this event
I like Barty, she says and does all the right things. Would really like her to win her home slam.
At least she played the whole tournament and there was no pulling out after a couple of matches. She deserves to win AO. The same can be said for Muguruza playing throughout and putting the effort in.. Strangely enough the opposite happened at Eastbourne in 2017 when she lost to Strycova early on winning only 1 game and then went on to win Wimbledon.
