Symmetry again but this time 6 seeds in the top half and 6 seeds in the bottom half , better survival than Gippsland. All top 8 seeds still there.

Will she actually play at the AO and surprise us by winning? She hasn't played since October 2019 and only 6 matches since winning the 2019 US Open.

In terms of personal interest, 2nd quarter looks the best to me, some good and entertaining names. Seems like a decent number of Americans left as well in this event

Barty justified her top seeding by beating Muguruza 7-6 6-4.

At least she played the whole tournament and there was no pulling out after a couple of matches. She deserves to win AO. The same can be said for Muguruza playing throughout and putting the effort in.. Strangely enough the opposite happened at Eastbourne in 2017 when she lost to Strycova early on winning only 1 game and then went on to win Wimbledon.
