Coco wins three games in a row to lead 3-2*. Sadly I think I need to call it a day and will pick this up again in the morning. Good luck to Katie though.

Wish I had stayed up now.  What a superb comeback from Katie to win this one. A fantastic result for her and great to see her and Jo in the last sixteen!

Ha, I have belatedly joined up with bet365 so I could join in.

So Katie has just already gone and broken in the first game, is up 2-0* and only 11/8 against for the match. Flip.

C'mon Coco, win a few games

Sorted. Katie down 2-4*. £2 placed on Katie at 7/1

Now that's a great result.

For Katie, I meant, of course biggrin

But glad you got 'in on the action', Indy, given it was your own action in the first place, really smile

I added another 20p just before going to bed so ended up with 60p at 6.5x - so can now fund a flurry of daft 10ps on whims and fancies - brilliant !

Seriously, that's a super result for Katie - that pivotal second set must have been very tight. Really pleased for her.

Me too!

6/1 to beat Osaka?  I was at Wimbledon  to see her play her a couple of years ago..was a good match

Great win for Katie after saving a match point (although Coco seems to be slipping somewhat), I went to bed at 5-5 in the second and was too nervous to watch. No expectations on her against Osaka so can just give it her best shot.

Does she have no one else with her in Melbourne apart from Jeremy Bates?

I dived in a bit, taking Katie at 7/1 during the first set vs Coco, I could have had 12/1 after she lost that set

So now 6/1 vs Naomi. That's quite complimentary, and I'll pass while still wishing her all the best.

Katie is rated 12 percent chance v Naomi by Tennis Abstract - is that 8/1 effectively, not sure how it equates? Jo is a 44% chance versus Begu, not sure how that reflects against the published odds?

Wow, One of my minor critiscisms of Katie is her tendency to start slowly, guess they didn't know that.

Pretty sure she didn't save a match point?

Yes, between 7 and 8/1 in 'true' odds, and given the bookies have their margins, 6/1 (Osaka 1/10) is very much in line with Tennis Abstract.

Not so for Jo who is quoted at 4/11 (Begu 11/5), which is about 70/30 to Jo.

Interesting, maybe Begu is worth a punt for someone who "punts"?
