Prior to the injury Tara had some chances to break back and make it 1-2 in the second set but couldnt make it. I didnt quite see what happened for the injury other than she was chasing down a short ball. From what I could tell, Montgomery looked good and Tara was always just a bit behind.
SF:- Despina Papamichail (GRE) / Katie Swan (GBR) CR778 (276+502) v Emina Bektas (USA) / Tara Moore (GBR) CR490 (245+245)
29 points for reaching the semi-final, 48 for the final and 80 for the title, giving a healthy jump in rankings to both already. (Tara has an 11th counter of 15, but Katie only has 10 counters - Coric isn't quite right on the ranking moves at the moment)
Tara's conqueror Robin M went down in 3 on Court 14 earlier, Katie's conqueror will be receiving to stay in the match at 4-5* in the second set on the same court, and when that match is finished, the doubles will start, so they could be on in 10-15 mins, or could be a further hour depending on how it goes.
Min served for the match twice, but eventually won on a TB, so Katie and Tara should be on soon.
I've not really been following this event, but Min at 250 is now the highest ranked player in the SFs. The other 3 were all qualifiers and include Tara's partner who is ranked 400 odd.
Fairly similar in the French W60 where there are no seeds and a lot of names that you wouldn't expect. I think there's just one top 200 player in that semi final line up.
Yes, quite a surprise on France, given that there were 19 top 200 players on the acceptnce list. Still, I'm pleased to see Urszula come through from qualifying.
Yep, surprise run, and she's beaten some decent players along the way, although I hope her run ends tomorrow, as Cristian is the only remaining player I personally have a vague interest in. There is actually a centre court stream on Twitch for that event - I had never used that site/app in my life prior to this week.
I'm not watching the stream, but Katie brought it back to 3-3, but Tara/Emina have just broken again, so *4-3.
