Julie Pullin who qualified and won a round of the 2000 Australian Open became Mrs. Hobbs in 2004. She is Head Coach at the Pavilion and Avenue Tennis Club in Brighton.

Just found this thread - Julie Pullin is now Sonays coach, of course, whatever Jeremy Bates may want us to think!

A quick look at marriage records on "Ancestry" shows that Julie Pullin married Lawrence Hobbs in July 2004.

there you go - don't believe anything AI tells you!

I will therefore delete my initial message, I don't wish to cause any upset to Julie, Lawrence or Anne!

You are absolutely right - a very good rule of thumb is "don't believe anything that AI tells you".

I'm late to the party, but Google told me to look at this:

I wish Google wouldn't have their A1 waffle at the top of their searches. Hopefully more and more people are learning to generally bypass it ( or just override it appearing there at all, as I believe clever folk can ).

And as per Indy suspected, I did use Google's AI search tool and get back the rubbish it spouted and I believed!!

I should have just googled!!

By the way, the Rosamund who posted the info on Tennis Forum is the Gameover profile who posts on here as well and posted about Julie Pullin (as Rosamund, before they changed profile names) earlier in this thread, that I responded! Sort of goes in circles, don't you find!

I believe Ben Reeves is actually Sonay's coach, although based at the same club as head coach Julie Hobbs, which has been involved with Sonay's career from the start. Ben actually was named LTA Coach of the Year for his work with Sonay.

Throwing a name in here in case folks have updates - Georgie Gent.

I also found that Lisa Whybourn has her own tennis academy in Florida, which is pretty cool. Great to see ex-players stay in the game and carve out a career.
