Andy is now 9th alt in Melbourne 2, 8th in Melbourne 1. Assuming he can still play.
I'd be very surprised to see Andy down under at all let alone in the warm up events. Apparently he's just out of isolation according to a few news sites. If they make him do a full 14 days isolation as he won't be on a specialised charter flight he would have to be leaving now. I reckon the odds would be shorter on a qualifier winning the Open than Andy playing in round 1!

I agree, there is 18 days before the start of the Open, he still has to test negative, fly there and do 14 days quarantine and thats ignoring the rule about the flights, although Ellen Perez was allowed in on a seperate flight. I personally don't think he should go. The rules were clear beforehand and they wouldn't change them for Joe Bloggs. I'm assuming he still has to do the 14 days because others that have had Covid have still had to do it.
Looks like the Melbourne fields are going to be added to with next 16 available direct acceptances instead of qualifiers on the mens side. And 4 wild cards.
