And here is the updated tournament winners list - again, without Paul Jubb who could reach 5 wins tomorrow. Alicia, Billy and maybe Paul are all close to the 6 wins and even Ali, Evan, Ella McD, Julian Cash and others not qualified could in fact reach 6 wins by mid December - with 6 weeks left, this category for qualifying is certainly wide open

Looking ahead, re the proposed WC vote will we be able to nominate players for the WC vote? I'm already lining up Beth for the combined singles and doubles year that she is having

Hi Indy - Yes, I think that would make sense. As it is a wild card vote, that would work. I was going to ask folks to nominate wild cards from around end Nov til the vote and take the first 20 who get put forward, max, that havent already qualified. I will give plenty of advance warning to let people prepare . I had thought of having set criteria but when I went through them, the list was very uninspiring (top ranked mens singles player not qualified directly would be Kyle) that I think nominations is the route. I will however, give wild cards to the following criteria:
1) UK Pro League Table toppers - Emily Appleton and Julian Cash
2) UK Pro League Finals Week Winners - tbd
3) The leaders of the British Tour leadersboards at end Nov - tbd
That should give us 6 wild cards and then 14 more from nominations potentially
To re-iterate, this is the current list provisionally qualified (ie some year end ranking qualifying players could change):

When it comes to nominations, I will let nominations for wild cards open on Monday 6th December and let it be open for nominations until Monday 13th December- depending on how many are allocated as per above, we will have c14 nominations. To avoid those all being made by one person or a few people I will probably limit it to 1 or maybe 2 nominations per person max, not sure yet. Probably 1. So it will require some thought and not a scatter gun approach.
My thoughts will shape - we dont need the full 20 listed and it will only be players not already qualified for the finals, so doesn't matter if it is a relatively small group.

In terms of tournament winners, Alfie is smashing it: remember, 6 wins in a season is the threshold to get into our player of season vote. 5 weeks remain before our vote so theoretically anyone on the list below could go on a run and make it to 6. Realistically, that wont happen for those on 1, 2 wins. But those on 3 wins or more could get a couple of wins before the season is over . Alicia Barnett, Billy Harris, Ella McDonald, Luke Johnson and Joe Salisbury are all on 5 so could easily get there. Jack PJ, Ali Gray, Evan Hoyt, Julian Cash, Paul Jubb and Will Jansen all have 4 wins and are also close to being able to make the 6.

Anton will now appear in the wild card vote after winning UK Pro League Finals. Sonay is already into the Player of Season vote so doesnt need to go for a wildcard.
Based on that, we will now have 5 wildcards down to the UK Pro League and British Tour's (3 already given - Julian Cash, Emily Appleton, Anton Matusevich, 2 more from British Tour standings) and 15 nominations by Forum members starting from 6th December
So nobody who is not already qualified can now get in based on PoM nominations reaching 6 for the season - all the non qualifiers are too many nominations away.
The tournament winners list though is wide open and there are a lot of players who could make 6 wins with 4 weeks left to play in the qualifying period. I will post a list of all those on 2 or more wins for the season shortly.
These are the players on 2 wins or more - those already qualified are not included in this list and 6 is the magic number
