The 4 wheelchair players are all in separate groups; the 6 juniors (if we include JPJ) are also spread evenly across the groups, as much as 6 into 4 go.
The players I saw as doubles exponents, or those who's doubles play got them into this vote, are also spread nice and evenly.
The POM vote winners this season are all aligned and nicely spread; as are the runners up. 11 players had those accolades and each group has 4 of them, with one group having 3.
The men and the women are split nice and evenly as well, 3 or 4 per group - we have two groups with 4 men and 3 women, and two group with 3 men and 4 women.
The semis groups (the path to the final) are also sorted and drawn in terms of knowing which position in the opening groups goes where in the semis. It feels like the World Cup
And, finally, I have taken a look at seeding outside of all the above to keep apart some obvious big names and make the mix really nice and spread - and it seems to have worked.
I think you will find, as a consequence, 4 groups of 7, well spread - I am pretty certain some of the early groups will be clear cut, one or two of them might be tighter. Some of you will no doubt have a clear winner in mind but , even if that is the case, lets try and vote across the groups and recognise all of our top players and what they have done in a season that is one of the best I can remember for British tennis.
Last year the final 4 covered possibly a good mix of the best of British - Joe, Dan, Fran and Alfie - and let's hope we get to a similar 4 in this years final.
These will be my final polls before I call it a day - as mentioned elsewhere, I am passing on this particular baton. I hope everyone is able to engage and help make them an interesting and memorable set of polls to bow out on!!

Many thanks for your hard work on all these polls Jon.
One final comment - in the first round, 3 out of the 7 and ties will go through - no tie breaks. HOWEVER, any player with zero votes will be knocked out regardless of their position. No votes cant win player of the season and so zero votes is zero progress. It may sharpen your minds when you think of who to vote for in each group.

The opening round polls for player of the season will be posted in the next 2-3 hours , remember they will run through until circa late am Friday so a slightly different rhythm to previous polls , dont get caught out with the non evening finish !
It feels like possibly the player of the season votes have ground to a halt, different timescales . Strangely though we have 14 hours left so any late or overnight votes very much welcomed, before 11 am tomorrow!
We currently have 16 players heading through , Id like a little sorting out of that if folks dont mind !
A few votes have come in each group and that field has done some sorting, a tie in just one group. But its thin margins and could easily close up again in the next 13 hours !
