My vote went to Joe for winning a Grand Slam title ,a rare achievement for a Briton without the surname of Murray.
Alfie won 4
Yes but how many matches did Joe and partner have to win to get the title as opposed to Alfie?. Have to admit don't follow wheelchair tennis very closely and would struggle to name any non British players.

I suspect Joes 6 in Melbourne about equalled Alfies 6 over his 4 !
Don't think this forum is biased for PotS feature or as a forum in general (allegedly on social media women's posts get fewer responses than men's ). Voted for Joe as he used to train with my son and Joe is one of the players I follow....I don't really follow any women's tennis unless I know the player; so only really women college players.
A welcome distraction from the current rubbish that's going on - hope you will run this next year too Jon

Jo 4 votes, Heather 1 vote, Emma 2 votes says it all on voter bias
Absolutely. There weren't many minorities represented, either, and don't get me started on sexuality. (assuming that your bias comment relates to gender) Although we managed to get a lady, and one and a half disabilities (and, as an aside, probably the four best candidates)

Actually, Jo never was my top choice, it's the other Joe.
Obviously you don't consider that you were biased, you just chose the candidate that you thought was the best: so, I would imagine, did all the other voters. It happens that the women didn't do as well as the men, so they didn't get chosen. Complaining about bias - and even worse implying that "something ought to be done" is just arrant nonsense.
Mr Evans for me.

Wow! that opened up a can of worms. I've been away from my screen all evening, otherwise I would have responded earlier. But please, please, please be assured that I never ever intended my posting to be a criticism of anyone, not the forum users and especially not your yourself. I really appreciate how much work you've put into it and have enjoyed taking part.
I'm a mathematician by training hence my obsession with stats (I love to watch matches live and follow the stats in real time). Bias has a slightly different meaning in data analysis ie "a skewness in the data against expectation" as opposed to "prejudice" as in common usage. I apologise to everyone, I should have been more careful with my language.
I was merely making the factual observation that gender-wise, the number of votes showed a "skew" towards the male players, Dan, Joe and Liam as opposed to Jo, Heather and Emma. On the assumption WTA and wheelchair fans are in the minority in the forum, which is not unreasonable, I was simply putting forward the idea that the three / four tours might be voted on separately, in some fashion, to give voters the chance to vote on the tours that most interest them, without having voting conflicts.
I'm probably taking it too seriously, being mathematical again! Anyway, I hope we can be friends going forward and sincerely apologise for upsetting you.
