Many of the same batch of players who did well last week in Harare are giving it another go this week, in the second event there, so that'll give us something to watch.
In qualis, both Emmie Wright ('03) and Ellie Blackford ('06) came through two matches of qualis without barely losing a game.
Emmie has also won her R1 match 0&0 (Ellie yet to play)
Will Jansen is in the main draw (but no sign of Tavis)

(Ellie Blackford, as a 2006-er, is beginning to look quite interesting - I wonder if anyone knows anything about her - I'm assuming she lives out there but might be completely wrong.....)
All three also won their R1 dubs matches (the two girls playing together)
She is also a 2006-born player, and one who has featured before in our U12 Nationals, the Open Super 12 Auray etc.
Will be interested to see how she gets on - it's only her second ITF event, I think, and there's been some quite nice video clips of her playing recently.
RE Ellie Blackford - doesn't appear that she does live out there. You can glean some info and background from her twitter (and her mum's) feed - https://twitter.com/EllieBlackford4 https://twitter.com/JenBlackford
Great minds think alike - I'd just been off snooping too and crossed with you - I was about to put it up.
Yup, I'm completely hors piste, couldn't be wrong-er - she's at school in Chelmsford and, as you say, lots of stuff about her in the UK, thanks to her twitter feed and her mum's one
Anything about the Wright players, LordB? I found a little clip of Emmie training at some club in Romford - which might make sense if the two families/players went out there together (they're playing dubs together too, which helps that theory)
