Singles semi finals line up now complete, 3 lower ranked players winning today, although there was nothing really between Watson and Siniakova in terms of both ranking and odds.

Ruse (Q) vs Siniakova (5)
Cirstea vs Hercog (2)

I'm hoping for an all Romanian final, but expecting the opposite. I've been waiting ages for Ruse to 'happen'. She's just turned 23 and her ranking hasn't changed much from a few years ago when she gave Radwanska that epic match at Wimbledon and received the standing ovation, but she can be really good on her day. I hope she takes the title from here, but a great week regardless coming through quals.

Order of play for the singles, and Heathers doubles semi final not out yet.

Pity re Heather's singles though good re her doubles.

Re the GB doubles #1 spot I had kind of hoped to see Em get there at some time but not winning a match all year is slightly problematic!

Friday OOP out - Heather first on at 8am UK. There'll at least be an ITF stream, but not sure yet if it'll be on Dubai Sports. It might be, but then it was supposed to show the final singles SF today, but showed some sailing highlights instead.

that is a shame, I had high hopes for Heather to get to the final.

Still, decent end to season for her, bookmarked really with Acapulco early doors and Dubai this week, hopefully a good start next year!

Yes, I had hoped for more. I saw bits of the match, and thought that they weren't on top form today. A few bad errors, and the serving could have been better.

Cirstea beat Sinaikova in the final for her first tournament win since January 2016.

And Raina and Gorgodze won the doubles,
