Is that Ms. Anane's first singles win anywhere in 3 years?

Yes, first ITF win of any kind since W15 Cairo 2017, November 27th - December 3rd

She had some doubles wins in late 2019 though.

Apparently Heraklion stage pre-qualifying events plus competitions for main draw wild cards in the week before each event. Soumeya has been successful in some of these matches. I guess these events can only take place because they have plenty of courts but it does seem a great idea and one which other events would do well to copy.

Fab idea.  Still think qualifying should be RR possibly 3 tiebreak sets to 10 though.

Well, she's now got a second one smile

Against a ranked player. And easily too 3&3

Well done !

And in the battle of the Brits, Danielle sneaks through against Anna P, 10-8 in the MTB

Eliz's match against the top seed is on the streamed court and follows the current on-going match. I might give it a watch.

Anna's doubles against the Rosca's follows on that court, and assume will be streamed as well.

4-6.

Not the best quality, but on serve until the 9th game where the opponent struck. Eliz had been looking the more likely to break up until thst point.

She's just held to love to start the second. 1-0*.

Opponent kind of pulling away now, Eliz had 3 BPs at 1-2* (her 6th in total), but opponent held, and broke again, so long way back. 4-6 1-4*

But then she broke to love straight after, so may be a little bit of life left. *2-4.
