Andy Murray will not be competing in the Australian Open:
"Gutted to share that I wont be flying out to Australia to compete at the Australian Open. Weve been in constant dialogue with Tennis Australia to try and find a solution [...] but we couldnt make it work."
The proper outcome, it's a far from ideal situation for the players who arrived without delays and positive tests. Best to sit this mess out Andy so we can see you playing well and in good health soon.
For those who are interested, the Australians are running two Wheelchair warm up events at melbourne park ahead of the AO. The prizemoney is ok for 8 players the field, men and women, and should have all the main players before the AO which is also 8 players singles. Should see most of our main players in action, specifically Alfie H, Gordon Reid and Jordanne Whiley. Not sure if Lucy Shuker is playing anymore, she is still ranked top 8 though.

I have only just seen this news. A good move all round I would have thought? Exceptional circumstances this year and the Djokovic's wouldn't have a tournament is the 1st round losers hadn't gone through all this to turn up.
The mens draws are tomorrow for the two ATP250 events; the womens draw that Heather is in is on Sunday I believe as it is a 28 draw event and starts later
