@ Andy Parker - I actually very rarely comment about looks of players but I commented based on a point you made about pressure - and that would be because of the media (partly so) making Katie B A Big Deal.

She's had some media attention for her looks but she's hardly a household name yet. Jo and Heather are the only British women who feature regularly in the Sports bulletins.

Noticed on Facebook that the girl that beat Fran trains at Rafa Nadal's Academy in Spain, probably some young tennis prodigy

Alex Eala was 2nd seed in the juniors at the 2020 French Championships. She reached the semi finals where she lost to the eventual winner Elsa Jacquemot .

It's not very relevant because we'll probably never hear her name on this forum again for a while, either until she next faces a Brit, or further down the line, potentially competes at WTA level, but I see Katie's 17 year old conqueror has made the QF here beating 2 top 300 players, including a clay specialist.

Amanda and Fran's conquerors lost in R2.

There is actually a YouTube stream for Centre Court, Kanepi currently on now. Not today, but it might come in handy for the doubles if our pair can win another match or two.

Better luck next week perhaps. IIRC this was Lissey's first tournament since the Battle of the Brits.

That's right, she hasn't played on tour since Feb. Liv on the other hand is in her 6th tournament for doubles and fourth for singles, although she withdrew yesterday from next week's singles.

A shame for them as they were never behind in the TB until 9-10. I last saw when they were 7-3 up, and see they were also 8-5, and had a MP at 9-8.

The Dutch pair now face a Spaniard on Centre tomorrow, so there would very likely have been a stream had they made it.
