Close but well done. Is Doumbia related to former player Yayiha Doumbia, Senegalese top 70 player?

I don't think so.

But might be wrong.

Sadio was born and grew up in the Toulouse area, as did his partner here, Reboul (who's dad and uncle run a big academy, are key figures and coaches at the Stade Toulousain tennis club, and are very good players in their own right, previously part of the Seniors world ITF circuit I think)

Never heard of any links to Senegal for Sadio (although it might be distant family, of course)

thanks CD - which is a shame as it would have been good to see Doumbia be a family line! Back in the 80's/90s , players like Nduka Odizor of Nigeria, and Yayiha Doumbia followed in Yannick Noahs footsteps, highly talented and shot makers (in the French  tradition I guess but heading down the Gael Monfils line) and it is a shame the Black African line has dried up - Morocco of course and Tunisia have had players over time but Black players from African have not had much success recently, presumably down to lack of investment and money
