DF: stinging backhand cross court forces error 0-15, backhand volley net 0-30 – good scrambling by Andy makes him play on extra shot, forehand cross court wide 15-30, great run to a drop shot then hits great backhand touch volley for 15-40 break point, backhand volley long after setting up a great point (no! – Andy) 30-40 break point no.2, backhand cross court winner breaks back 5-4 (come on!)


 


YES! We (me and the commentators) aren't sure if he said Vamos or Come On at the end, think it was come on though.

Andy breaks back, best shot was to reach a drop shot from Ferrer, then strech for a cross court volley as Ferrer tried to pass.

Andy's up for it, and playing fairly well (serve excluded)

Superb stuff from Andy to break back but holding serve seems to be harder than breaking at the moment

AM: drop shot forces error 0-15, lob long under pressure 0-30, great backhand down the line winner 15-30, backhand down the line net (Andy bounces his racquet in anger) set point DF, forehand down the line long 30-40, great serve out wide - unreturnable deuce, forehand clips net and flies out ad AM, forehand down the line winner deuce (close up shot and I’m thinking it’s time for a trim on that bush he calls his hair), forehand long ad AM, great serve – return wide. 5-5
