If Harriet can frustrate her opponent enough then hopefully she'll start getting her hair off wink

Not looking good. Harriet lost the last two games and the set. That's 14 points out of the last 20

And Harriet retires

Hope it is nothing too serious, and she can play the doubles final (presumably tomorrow ?)

Apparently Harriet won't be able to play tomorrow. Real shame for both.

I haven't heard any more since I posted at the end of the first set.

Only (small) consolation for both of them is that the 30 points they get for reaching the final will be counters - replacing 18 for Beth, and (I think) 9 for Harriet after allowing for last week's final as well.

I thought that the 30 would replace 15 for Beth and 0 for Harriet. May be wrong?

I was looking at Coric, where eleven counters are listed, plus non-counters.
Harriet has three one-pointers, and Beth has a 15 and two 18's. They picked up 30 points last week as well, so I had allowed for that.

I think Beth had a 10 from Wimbledon last year which she replaced last week and a 15 which she replaced this week.

Yes, you're right - I was forgetting that they don't have to include GS counters. So even better !
