Week 41 - ITF (W25) Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, France - Indoor Hard

Yep, definitely 'anything else a bonus' territory for her now, and a momumental task tomorrow - her best bet would probably have been Kaia's body breaking down, but she seems to have been coming through her matches with ease this week. If she could pull off the big upset (5/1 at Bet365) then she should be in line for an SE for Reims next week and that would avoid her playing W,T,F,S,S,M. The same would apply to Niemeier if she were to beat Harriet.

Harriet up first at 12.30pm UK, then Jodie, and then the doubles final.

Wow Ive just caught up with the past few days results!
Are we on for an all British final?
It will be good to see Jodie against this level of opposition and I have faith that this injury free Jodie burrage is seriously on the way up.
Good luck to both Jodie and harriett.

Not sure Jodie has anything to be angry about wink

(Predictive text does that to me sometimes...).

Back on serve, although that might be shortlived.  1st serve win % fine, 2nd serve win % not fine (but now improving) Go Harriet

*3-4. First serve 10/14 with 7/10 won. Second serve 2/4 won. Not too bad at all.

Any stats that are based on only 2 or 3 or 4 points are pretty meaningless.

And it makes percentages are very misleading - 75% sounds really good, 25% sounds really poor, but if you're only talking about 4 points, it's only two points here and there, which is nothing.

Most coaches will have their own way of chalking things up (i.e. second serves you 'should' have won, second serves where you went for an excellent third shot and only just missed it, whatever).

Yes but it's Harriet we're talking about herebiggrin Her 2nd serves are notoriously weak. If only she could elect to receive all through the match, it would be far less stressful for us fans.
