Jodie will play Julia Grabher(Aut) 2nd round, 1st match on  Court Central  Thursday.

Harriet plays 2nd match against Alice Rame on Court Central Thursday.

Grabher ranks at 226 on 12th October and her highest was 198 on 19th March 2018.

Good stuff. Harriet follows on that court.

Jodie's QF opponents on court at the moment. 19 year old 5th seed Wang Xinyu looking most likely at the moment.

Dreadful start from Harriet, losing the first points in a row, and 13 of the first 15.
On the board now at 1-4*

Saves a couple of BPs in the opening game of the second set, but a hold. 2-6 1-0*

And follows it up with a break, *2-0. Hopefully on her way now, as back to back tournament wins have been hard to come by recently.

*4-0 Harriet.

Oh, and it is Wang Xinyu up next for Jodie. Not near namesake Wang Xiyu who Heather beat in that WTA semi final earlier this year (and Katie S and Harriet in recent slam qualies), but another 19 year old Chinese former top junior. I don't think she has played any Brits on the pro tour until now.

Very nice scoreline from Jodie.

And now that Harriet's woken up, it would be lovely if she could push this to a third set and close that out comfortably too.

That's the girl who got to the semis in Wimbly juniors and lost (but only just) to Iga Swiatek, in 2018.

I know I saw her at the Roehampton event too, but can't remember any impressions and didn't note anything, which is pretty useless really....

A break and more importantly a hold.

Mirror image of the first set, with Harrit winning almost all of the points now.
