Third set in the bag by 7-5.  Has he turned it round?

An optimistic 3 of 4 to get to 2nd round.

Have to be honest and say I am dreading a wipe out - and think that is highly possible.

Come on Cam. Please prove me wrong.

4-1* down in the 5th looks bad.

Over and out for Britain. Thank God clay is over for us now, not been a happy few weeks!

Not quite, but who'd have thought Heather would have been the last Brit left in the singles !

Definitely not your fault, Bob.  I feared the worst when I saw the draw, but kept it under my hat.  cry

I jinxed him, and lost a fiver - normally he funds my Bet 365 account (or he used to).

11 out of 22 mens seeds to play have lost in round 1, that is a startling number. 10 still to play, we could lose half the seeds in round one at this stage. Would be great if one of the Brits could take advantage...oh, wait.

Not so fast - he wins in 5. As did Rublev via Querry earlier on -both players coming back from two sets down to win fornthe first time.
