Giustino beat Moutet 18-16 in the final set ( no final set TBs ) in 6 hours 5 minutes.
The physicality and spring of Giustino (and indeed of Moutet) in those last few games was amazing.
They should show that last point to all kids, all players ranked 500 or so, to whoever - that someone who could barely walk (it looked as though his knees couldn't bend) was jumping so high to do his 'allegements' each time the opponent hit the ball, with such knee bend when he landed - just amazing.

Wow - is that the longest French Open match?
No - I remember Arnaud Clement v Fabrice Santoro in 2004 at 6hrs 33mins (may have been a longer one since). Fine effort by both - I wouldn't have expected Corentin Moutet to have been so dogged in the fifth set, judging from what i have seen of his temperament up to now.
Why have we got Medvedev vs fucsovics on ITV 4 when cam is playing? I sometimes find watching claycourt tennis like watching paint dry so might as well watch paint dry with a British painter to support.

Couldn't agree more. Not even bothering to watch Medvedev vs Fucsovics. It obviously hasn't occurred to the ITV4 schedulers that the British tennis-watching public might actually think that way! Only connect & University challenge coming up soon on BBC2 anyway.

For the same reason they showed Rafa while Liam was playing I guess - see comments above. It's very frustrating.
John Inverdale said at one point that it would be difficult to watch the match because of the camera angle. Seriously? Better to watch a Brit with a dodgy camera angle than not at all

ITV and eurosport are in competition with each other rather than working together. That's why matches shown on ITV are the ones they are -because eurosport want you / us / tennis fans to buy their product and not give it away for free. There were a bunch of tweets a day or so about this, will try and find some to support this post.
