So Alfie Hewett is last man in action, singles wheelchair final tomorrow. Jordane Whiley in womens wheelchair doubles final tomorrow also

BTW, please let me apologise if talking wheelchair tennis in the main thread causes anyone issues. There isnt enough to justify a wheelchair thread I dont think and splitting discussion across singles, doubles, mens, womens also doesnt make sense. So I will continue the odd post here if that is ok. Beyond the slams (and the end of the slams) there is not enough action to discuss and generally it doesnt attract my attention, but whilst we have Brits doing well in it, it felt worthy of comment

Tomorrows order of play, on the Suzanne Lenglen Court, we have back to back Brits!

https://www.rolandgarros.com/en-us/order-of-play?date=2020-10-10

Alfie in singles final, then Andy Lapthorne in Quad singles, then Jordane Whiley in womens wheelchair doubles action.

Could be a good day for the British wheelchair contingent. Not sure which the strongest nation in wheelchair is, Netherlands used to be strong, Japan, USA, but Britain look like they are up near the top?

Bugger!

SF:  (1) Novak Djokovic WR 1 defeated (5) Stefanos Tsitsipas (GRE) WR 6 by 6-3 6-2 5-7 4-6 6-1  furious

It pains me to say this, but I'll be praying for a 13th win for Rafa on Sunday.

Rafa v Novak, if Rafa wins he equals 20 slams record of Fed. If Novak wins its 20, 19, 18.

If Rafa wins is he the equal GOAT? Or even the GOAT?

Ooo, you've gone there. Probably rather safer here than on twitter!

I hadnt really followed the wheelchair guys before but it seems we have historic wins as follows

Alfie - 2017 French, 2018 and 2019 - US

Gordon - 2016 Australian, 2016 Wimbledon

In Quads, Andy Lapthorne won 2014 and 19 US Open.

Before that Peter Norfolk won a number of titles , 6 slams and various doubles titles.

So Alfie vying here for his 4th slam title and 2nd French
