Week 38 - ITF (W15) Porto, Portugal - Hard

QR1: Emily Arbuthnott (GBR) 957 v Olga Parres Azcoitia (ESP) 836 [12]

Katy Dunne should be the top seed in the main draw, and Freya Christie may have made it in as well.

(Rankings from OER as the ITF site is not working at the moment)

Yes this is Katy's first ITF event back after a six month injury break. She played very well for the Halton team who reached the final of last weekend's National Premier League event.

And I see that Lily is seeded three here as well, and in Katy's half of the draw

Katy and Lily in competition for the shortest match. Katy 6-1 and Lily 6-2 - both in 30 minutes.

And there is a stream for Katy https://live.itftennis.com/en/live-streams/video.php?vid=23668479

Katy wins 1 & 0 in an hour. Lily had more of a fight, winning 2 & 3.
Both have a day off tomorrow, as their potential opponents aren't playing today.

Thanks for the link, the addict.

I thought I'd sit back and watch 15 mins but, to be honest, I turned it off after four points, no disrespect to the Ukrainian but it was so one-sided it was rather uncomfortable.

But lovely to have Katy back and a nice little warm-up match, to get her back in the swing of things.

Yes, I didn't watch much of it for the same reason - hardly any points longer than 5 shots.

Once Katy gets her ball toss sorted, she'll be fine.
