Week 38 - ITF M15 - Monastir, Tunisia (hard)

The ITF site is playing silly buggers - again! - so in no particular order & possibly not all Brits included:

QR2:  Luca Potenza (ITA) WR 1166 (CH = 1130 last September) vs Oscar Weightman UNR (CH = 1617 in September 2018)

QR2:  Yaraslav Shyla (BLR) WR 1025 (CH = 306 in June 2015) vs Sacha Modica UNR

QR2:  Mhamed Affes (TUN) UNR (CH = 1387 in March 2006 vs (q12) Max Andrews WR 1482 (CH = 1464 in March)

QR2:  Louis Allen UNR vs (q9) Bekkhan Atlangeriev (RUS) WR 1193 (CH = 1170 in February)

QR2:  (q2) Daniil Glinka (EST) WR 845 (CH = 941 last month) vs Jack Gibbens WR 1956 (CH = 1886 last December)

If it helps SC there is an ITF Live Scores App which you can download. I prefer the website version but the App seems to work more consistently.

Wins in QR1 for all five listed above but defeat for a new name to me, Jack Hodges.

They all face foreign opposition in QR2.

Thanks, brittak, but I am a complete technophobe & wouldn't have a clue how to go about doing that without someone actually standing behind me & telling me what to do!  I use a laptop & am totally dependent on what I see on web sites!  That said, the matches I listed in my opening post are clearly QR2s, so I shall amend accordingly.

For the record:

QR1:  (q12) Max Andrews WR 1482 defeated defeated Pietro Fellin (ITA) UNR by 4-6 6-0 [10-0]

QR1:  César Bourgois (FRA) UNR defeated Jack Hodges UNR by 2 & 2

QR1:  Sacha Modica UNR defeated Samoil Lavric (ROU) UNR by 0 & 0

QR1:  Jack Gibbens WR 1956 defeated Uladzislau Zhuk (BLR) UNR by 2 & 2

QR1:  Oscar Weightman UNR defeated Skander ben Fraj (TUN) UNR by 1 & 0

QR1:  Louis Allen UNR defeated Elyes Marouani (TUN) UNR by 2 & 5

Stuart Parker may have made the main draw.

Stuart lost to Simon in the second round last week, 3 & 5

Here's hoping this week goes better....

Yeah - Max and Liam leading the vanguard of GB male 'I-can-play-on-red-dirt' players smile

Just as a reminder to all, Max was the guy who got the wildcard into the challenger event in Spain last year.

He went to college in the US and then became a coach at the Sanchez Casal academy (I think he went to Spain when he was 12 as a kid too, to attend an academy there, he's certainly got a little Spanish accent going on....)
