Felix has had a match point, that he played too tentatively but that's not uncommon.

But he has been SO much head and shoulders above the other guy for the whole match, right up until the end when he played a bad game at 5-3 up which you'd think wouldn't matter because he could still serve for the match.

But it gave the other lad a little encouragement....

It will be 'tragic' if he doesn't win this set (well, not tragic as such, in the big picture but.....)

Into a tie-break - allez, Felix!!!!!!!

And lost the tie-break :(

And went 4-1 up in the third :)

0-40 against the other lad, three BPs for Felix, two really bad points, and didn't break, now 4-2 for our lad.

C'mon!!!!!!!!!

ADD: super game for 5-2

NOW to play a tight game...... 

 

ADD + : Or not...... lost to love, a couple of sloppy points, one good one from the South African

serving for it at 5-3

 No but the LTA have posted results on Instagram and several UK based tennis Twitter people have posted about the juniors and saying that there should be more coverage esp given none of the senior players got passed round 1 in singles.

In the double GB-SUI battle this morning, both our lads started very well, Felix with a break and Arthur with lots of break points.

But it was soon cancelled out.

Stricker (Arthur's opponent) is a very well-built player for his age, and reasonably tall, a strong physique, and really uses it well.

The other Swiss lad, Riedi, is less impressive, less balanced, more error-prone.

But it's all on serve for both of them at the moment, mid first set
