That AO girls champ who just turned 15 last month has taken out another seed, so that's who Matilda will play next if she can see this one out.

Seems to be well on her way. 4-0* in the second set
You can get 40/1 on the opponent if anyone has a few doubts. A quid on that would certainly soften any blow, ha.

I wonder where she is actually based -she appears to be the only ranked player from Andorra, women or juniors. She's won half a dozen junior titles in Spain, so I am assuming she could be based near Barcelona.

Matilda is still on a roll - 8 games in a row and now serving at 5-0

I think she is based near Barcelona TA, definitely based in Spain as there's a few Spanish posters on TF who follow her progress and hope she eventually switches.

Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva has been much discussed in the Juniors section (see for example the Australian Open thread, where she beat Matilda in round 1  ).  Here is an article about her

Thanks David. I only occasionally look at the juniors, but that was very interesting.

 Has Andorra ever had a sports star? Don't some skiers/cyclists live there?

I can't think of any sports stars myself, certainly no household names in any of the sports I follow (which don't include the 2 you mention). It would be nice to have a tennis star emerge from one of the smaller nations, assuming she does continue to represent Andorra when she starts playing more full time.

I'd quite like to see that match tomorrow, but don't think there are any streams available. Matilda was 6-4 3-1* up in their AO meeting, but kind of fell away.

QF: MUTAVDZIC, Matilda (GBR) JR UNR/1303 def CORTEZ LLORCA, Lucia (ESP) 4 645/1208 6-2 6-0

SF: MUTAVDZIC, Matilda (GBR) JR UNR/1303 (CH=UNR/1274 2020) {16yo Junior rank 28 JCH=27} v JIMENEZ KASINTSEVA, Victoria (AND) JR UNR/UNR =CH {15yo Junior rank 1}

It's the battle of the juniors in the SF.
