Eden's match seems to have stopped on 1-4 *15-40 for a while?
Probably just a dispute over a point, as Eden has saved 2 BPs to get back to deuce. If the opponent had won an extra fame then I'd have been assuming it was the old stuck on MP for ages.

I was just coming on to reference that CD and was going to mention you. I thought Eden did better than I expected in the singles against Seguel yesterday, especially exchanging the first two tight sets, but the qualifiers generally performed very well in R1.
Elsa's big win as you say.
Lepchenko (185) beating McNally (120)
Gavrilova (think she's now lost her ranking) beating Minnen (110)
Gorgodze (216) beating Inglis (124)
Young Janicijevic taking Dodin (117) to 3 sets.
Some of those aren't really shocks, or aren't at all - Gavrilova was top 20 just 3 years ago (although 6-1 6-0 was a bit of a statement), and I'm pretty surprised to see Maddison Inglis not too far off the top 100 - I'd imagine a lot of that ranking would have been built up in smaller ITFs, and Lepchenko has a lot of experience and has been much higher ranked previously, but as a group, it's impressive that a bunch of qualifiers have taken out some pretty high seeds, with Elsa's clearly being the most impressive.
Not qualifiers, but Burel won the battle of the RG MDWCs, beating Tan in straights.
(Dasha) Gavrilova was WR 250 in March - she definitely shouldn't be unranked as nobody is dropping points in 2020. But WTA has no ranking for her so I'm puzzled why that is!!
This is Gavrilova 's first tournament since the USO in 2019. Since Indian Wells in March 2019 she has had 9 first round losses, and just 5 wins.
Will she therefore have been taken out as not having played in 12 months or indeed not enough counters since March 19? Live tennis also doesn't have her in their rankings list.

I swear I saw WTA have her ranked circa 250 either a week or two ago when I first noticed she was coming back, but nothing yesterday (on WTA website) when I checked, so I was confused as well.
If she keeps getting scores like yesterday, and opportunities (I assume she'll have a PR) then shouldn't be too long until she's back in the right direction. The Aussie summer in a few months should help speed the process as well.

Could well be the 12 month thing because her last event was the US Open 2019 and she was definitely ranked during that event this year, so first rankings since that event, and no Gavrilova, possibly points in that direction.
OER have her at WR251 for 31/08, with the drop of dates for her points all in 2021. Maybe a software glitch though, as most of her points are pre March 2019.
