She'll play French opposition next, either Q15 Albie or 17 year old QWC Flavie Brugnone, who are currently in the early stages. Do you know much about the latter CD?
She gets 3 ranking points and about $180 for that win DF, 5 (an extra 2) if she can come through her FQR.
That aforementioned 17 yr old QWC beat the Q seed in a similar manner to Eden, dropping the first set, before winning the MTB 10-5. She and Albie were pretty much 50/50 pre match, so probably not too much difference between their current level.

Flavie is completely unknown to me (and, I'm guessing, extremely unlikely to win against Albie).
Audrey Albie is a good player, that very solid 200-300 sort of player, mid-twenties - sort of difficult to see her really making major headway now but maybe that's unfair...... I don't think I've seen a livestream of her for ages....
She got some nice press in the french sites because she'd been at her parents during lockdown and was training on a local court (i think that belonged to a private house), about 500m away from her home (so within the 1km rule that Macron imposed) but the court was truly dire, as many home courts, are. So it made a slightly amusing story of top player, training on bumpy, pit-holed tennis court with hardly any lines.
Not very informative about her tennis prospects, obviously, but that's all I can contribute, I'm afraid..... :)
NB Saw Carole Monnet quite recently, who I knew as a kid, and she seemed quite impressive - hard to beat (as she always was), without being incredibly impressive in and of herself.

When I saw the early in play odds it was like 1-1 40-40, and the odds were almost the same, and I just assumed they would have been very similar pre match, but just checking back and Brugnone was circa 2.30 pre match and Albie 1.57, so going back to the other day, clear, but still pretty close , so not really a huge surprise from that perspective.
I'm quite familiar with Albie as she has been over here a few times for ITFs, and has played GB players a fair bit, but this was the first time I'd heard of Brugnone.
I went and looked a bit more, Ace, (and even updated my fft account, so thanks for prodding me into doing that)
Flavie is far better than I (in my ignorance) gave her credit for.
She's born 2003, has played a packet of matches, as you'd expect (last year, obviously a lot less this year), and has beaten some players ranked 500+ quite reasonably.
But she's still not amazing - she lost to Millie Bisset last year - and hasn't really got any standout results or scalps.
I'm still pretty surprised she won and think that Eden has a very decent shot.

Cool, thanks CD. Fingers crossed Eden can make the main draw.
