Heather has retired

Not quite sure what happened there, she was moving and playing ok I felt. Hopefully just a small sickness/feeling faint and she will be ok. Let's see if she plays doubles.

Can you still play doubles if you've retired in the singles?

 Yes. So hopefully ...

They've withdrawn from doubles.

Dzalemidze has just retired from her doubles match with very similar issue. Wonder if there's a bug or something they've eaten.

Heather and partner replaced by alts. Draw says reason for Heather withdrawing was "Dizziness"

Em+ were beaten by 6-4 6-2

No wins in 7 doubles matches this year, including 3 since the restart.

Led 4-2* as well. Frustrating one, they were comfortably the better pair in the early part of the match, Neel in particular was really struggling. I thought they looked on for breaking their duck but it just slipped away.

Interestingly Em is showing on the list for the Italian 25k next week. Potentially re-teaming with Sofia? Either that or I guess her and Vivian will go for the 80k in France.

Oh dear, thought Em and Vivian were going to make that much closer - missed all of the second set.
I think Em really needs a more consistent partner. Vivian was brilliant at times, and then missed a few. I'm sure Sofia was a better choice. Maybe next season.

Heather was 2-3* when she retired, not 2-5

Naomi underway

*0-1

No idea what her plans are now she's back from injury, but if she was thinking of increasing focus on doubles (and she may well feel she can get back into the top 200 singles) would be nice to see her play with Emily a bit.

Naomi and Erin claim a fairly routine 64 63 win
