Yeah, great to see Fran back up her showing from last week. She plays a local (fellow) qualifier next, who had a bit of a surprise win against a fairly promising compatriot. I don't know much about her, but on paper, could be a good opportunity to go a bit further.

Fran, provisionally CH 278 with 220 points on 14/08 after last week's 125K run, has now so far added a further 6 (net 5) points here towards the 21/08 rankings.

Fran's L16 match is 2nd on Court 1 at not before 10.30 am (9.30 BST).

They are aiming to complete both the L16 and QF rounds tomorrow.

QF: (Q) Francesca Jones WR 321 (CH 297 in June 2019) vs Lea Boskovic (CRO) WR 305 (CH 292 in September 2019)

 

Nice warm-up for this QF later as Fran keeps on pushing up her new CH. She will now go up to GB #7 ahead of Jodie and a QF win would move her ahead of Katie Swan to #6. Just needs the title for #5 ahead of Naiktha

 She seems to be doing really well on clay , after Prague, did she have a previous good record on the red stuff?
