Week 36 - ITF (W25+H) Figueira Da Foz, Portugal Hard

Maia now 5-2*.

They are having technical difficulties at the moment, but plan to show Court 2 when they are fixed, so Jodie will be on that link a little later if they manage to fix them.

Edit - on to a new page, so will post that link again - www.facebook.com/raquetc

Maia 6-3 1-3*.

They've got that live stream sorted now. The first match is in a first set TB, another match will follow, and then Jodie is on after that.

Nice and easy, Jodie wins 2 & 1. Looked to be playing well within herself.

No GB streams today. Maia 2nd on Court 3 where play is just about to start (the court, not Maia), and Jodie follows that.

Lily vs Haddad Maia is 2nd on the FB streamed court if anyone is interested in that.

I reckon we should adopt Lily as an honorary Brit, since she's based over here  wink

Back to the 'proper' Brits - Maia has started well against the 7th seed here taking the first set 6-1

Very good win for Maia. Grammatikopoulou reached the SF at Chiswick last year, where she was beaten by Sam who went on to win the title.

QF:- Jacqueline Cabaj Awad (SWE) / Ines Murta (POR) [WC] CR1017 (467+550) def Freya Christie (GBR) / Olivia Nicholls (GBR) CR588 (192+396) 1-6 6-4 10-6 hmm

When I looked at the scoreboard earlier, all was going so well. 6-1 6-1, 6-1 & 6-0 across the three matches

Jodie went from 6-0 2-2 to 6-0 2-6 pretty quickly, but she is an early break up in the decider.

Haddad came from a set down to beat Lily earlier, so that's who the winner will play in the QF.

Really good win for Maia, particularly the scoreline. It's looking like she'll play the top seed Tauson in the QF, assuming the Dane sees her match out from the position she is currently in.
