How far was Harriet away? Presumably shes missed out, isnt it LLs / alts come from doubles players now?

Do we have any GB doubles entries? Presumably Heather with someone?

Harriet would have been one out at the time the draw was made but had already withdrawn from the alternates list.

It is only a 32 doubles draw with advanced entry on doubles ranking only, so no British interest.

Harriet withdrew a few days ago but she would have been next one in, last in was Wickmayer so a good decision on her part to focus on Clay and the French.

Rotten luck for Heather to get Jo. Though I am a bit concerned that by the time Jo has finished the current tournament her knee will be needing a rest.

Tennis abstract rates jo 56-44 to beat Heather but predicts a 3rd round exit for her to Muchova.

Osaka is rated a 15 percent favourite to take the title.

Looks like Jo v.Heather will be on Tuesday as top half of  womens draw is Monday..

Court 5 seems to be a Brits court, 4 of the 5 singles matches are on court 5, andy on ashe.

I thought Gauff and Bouzkova not being seeded would be dangerous floaters but in the actual event both were beaten in the   first round.
