Wouldn't exactly say it's been a classic, but they're going the distance in the 1st semi.

Got that wrong! Thiem versus Zverev for the title

Would rather have Thiem over Zverev win the title.

So, what's everyone elses thoughts / predictions for the final.

I'm thinking Thiem 3-0, but hope Zverev can get at least a set to make more of a match of it. I think I'd actually like Zverev to take the title, but I'm happy enough with the finalists - certainly better than I was thinking at the start of the event with a notable omission. It would be quite nice for Thiem to win a slam final in his 4th time of asking, and it may make RG a bit more interesting if he had that slam final monkey off his back, even if in unusual circumstances.

Just hoping it's not done and dusted inside / in and around 2 hours, which I wouldn't be too surprised.

I go for Thiem 3-0 as well.

But yes hope both play to a good level and it goes at least one set further.

I can't make up my mind as to how much I like Zverev. He can come across very well but then does daft things.

I'll go for Thiem in four.

I used to be a big fan of Sacha but, honestly, the lad has to grow up a bit.

Also hoping Thiem in 4 (so a little more exciting than straight sets ).

Just my opinion, but Zverev always seems very arrogant and his father looks like a Bulldog chewing a wasp bleh

This is a bit like an FA cup final between Spurs and Chelsea, totally repulsive. No idea which is lesser of two evils.
All in all Thiem presents himself as a bit of tool. Several things irritate me about him:

1)Beef with Serena
2)Refusal to be involved in helping pay lower ranked players scheme during virus
3)Took part in Adria tour.....enough said.
4)Silly redbull incident in the 2nd round of this years USO (check this out)
5) Breaking virus restrictions, to go to beach
6)Refusing to take part in Olympics (shows self obsession and does not care about his nation)

Will support Zverev, but is hard.

Zverev is also "guilty" of 3 and 5.

Also cannot stand any player that has all these chains around his neck. Or any player that has tattoos. These things show a player is not 100% focused and  is more concerned on image.  Fed, Nadal and Novak, do not have time for this, they are so focused, not time for twitter and instagram, like this new generation is.

I agree with the list, and personal dislikes of tattoos are personal dislikes, and fair enough.

But it hardly shows they're not focused on tennis - everybody goes shopping, gets the hair done, whatever - it's not a fulltime obsession, just what people do. And seemingly young people often get tattoos.

And after all, you could say Federer having four children (four!) shows a wanton lack of focus on his tennis - I bet those kids take up WAY more time than flicking through a few tattoo books and a couple of appointments do.

Alfie Hewett battling away in the final. It's 5-5 in the third......

It's TB time.

Both have served for the match once.

Not really a fan of either Zverev or Thiem but I predict that Thiem will win.

Alas not to be for Alfie. He lost the TB (3)
