Anyone know how the money breaks down. I see that this series is 5 qualifying weeks and one classic finals week. With a total ok $500k in prize fund. Assuming more is geared to the finals week. But thats a fair bit available.
Winner of each qualifying week event gets 5,000 dollars with 20,000 dollars for the 'masters' week.
This was an article Stu Fraser did for The Times on 12th June:
British UK Pro Series and Classic event offers stars big pay day
British players will have the opportunity to compete for a prize pot of about £400,000 this summer at a new closed-doors tournament that is the brainchild of an English entrepreneur. Ben Nicholas, who formerly worked for IMG selling media rights across a wide range of sports, has set up the UK Pro Series and Classic at the St George's Hill Club in Weybridge. The event will span six consecutive weeks from July 6 to August 16. Each week will see 12 men and 12 women compete in a round-robin format to earn qualification for the final "Classic" event. Strong fields are expected, given that the LTA's concurrent four British Tour events in July are only offering a total of about £50,000.
Although Jamie Delgado, the coach of Andy Murray, is involved with player liaison, it is unlikely that Murray will play because each weekly event involves players contesting a match every day. There are hopes, though, that Dan Evans and Johanna Konta, the respective British No 1s, could be enticed. "We would hope to get one or two of the big players," Nicholas said. "We have had a great deal of interest so far. We are already oversubscribed for the first week." The staggering sum on offer is enabled through income from betting companies, who will be able to run in-play markets and stream every match. Tennis Integrity Unit regulations will be followed to ensure everything is above board and there is no conflict with the international tour because of its ongoing suspension.
"I saw an article in the middle of March about how little players outside the top-100 earn annually," Nicholas said. "I was astonished. They do well if they make $100,000 [£80,000] a year [before expenses]. I talked to a few people about putting on a tournament. I then thought, 'How can we get live sport back on our screens?' And tennis is the easiest thing in this Covid-19 period for obvious reasons."
The surface of hard courts will offer good preparation for the US Open, if it goes ahead in late August. There is still scepticism from some top players surrounding the safety measures involved - limited entourages and quarantine restrictions - with fresh doubt over the participation of the world No 2, Simona Halep. "The restrictions are tough," Darren Cahill, Halep's coach, said. "They're incredibly difficult and every player will have their own opinion as to whether that will work for them. I'm pretty sure that won't work for Simona."

Interesting to see all of the money is being put up by betting companies. Not sure I like that. But it also explains why they are playing round robin, as there will be 15 group matches x 4, and then 24 play off matches, so 84 matches in any one week.
Looking at it that way, you can see how the prizemoney makes sense.
I suspect the Tennis Integrity Unit will be keeping a watchful eye on betting patterns though...

You would expect so. Before reading that I had wondered earlier if these were on the betting sites. So I had a look during the Canter-Gray match and did notice the score on a betting site was behind the youtube stream. Whether there was enough lag to take advantage I dont know. Will unfortunately mean the players will probably be subject to the usual Social Media abuse by those losing their money.

Nice to see Arthur going out his match in a very business like way - you could have expected a slump after his win yesterday, but he's always seemed to have good professional attitude which is encouraging and will serve him well.
And very nice to see Ryan back out there, after a major absence. Wish him well....
Enjoyed the first set between Tom and Billy. Tom's got a nice, college sort of game. But hit a lazy ball on SP and then dunked a nasty double fault, and ended up losing the TB 9-7, I think

Interestingly, Marcus W's match against Luke Johnson is still on today's schedule, but I can't see it finishing today: Lloyd's match against Toby Martin has only just got under way.
