I don't know him but I've watched him play a couple of times and have always like how he conducts himself on court, his attitude, and his tennis. Unlike a few in his cohort, he chose the US college route which was, I think, an excellent choice.
Be interesting to see how Jan C performs - on paper, he should win easily today, of course, but I don't think his results have been great in Germany (although if I missed a couple of good ones, apologies to Jan). But it's definitely been a lot of clay....
Only just realised how much tennis Jan has been playing. Today his 51st match since the beginning of May. Appears to range from fast 4 format to 3 tie break set.
