Don't often venture onto the womens section. Anyway found this chart from telstar. Which might be of some interest to anyone else that doesn't. Don't think i've seen this on this thread before.
1- Series Event Weeks
Appearance Fees
· $1,000 per player in draw
· $750 for attending reserve moves to $1000 if they are required to play
· $250 for non-attending reserve moves to $750 if they are required to attend
Prize Money
· Winner - $5,000
· Runner Up - $3,500
· 3rd $3,000
· 4th - $2,500
· 5th - $2,000
· 6th - $1,500
· 7th - $1,250
· 8th - $1,000
· 9th - $750
· 10th - $500
· 11th - $250
· 12th - $0
So assuming 1 on site reserve and 1 off site reserve the total Prize Money is $34 250 per event per week. Assume they budget this at $35 000. The total prize money for all 6 weeks has been muted at $500 000 for both mens and womens events. This leaves $150 000 for the final week or $75 000 for each event. A bit more than double the Prize Money of the other weeks. I guess the extra bit left over might be assigned to the winners pot.
Some very good money to be had. Especially as no one knows when the lower rungs of the tour will be up and running again. So the winner of the classic should be walking away with at least $17 000. I wonder if that is enough to entice a WC who hasn't played in the 5 weeks. Maybe Norrie?
