I think the BBC show Pointless should have a round on British players in the singles at Wimbledon in the last 10 years ( male and female) and see who got a higher score of Jo or Heather. Unfortunately I couldn't say just female because I'm not sure we've had enough players anybody would have heard of.
As an aside I notice that Jo is entered for the Palermo tournament starting on 3rd August. Now it could be that the tournament is cancelled because of the Corona virus or Jo's knee is not up to it.The event has a decent draw mostly of Eastern Europeans.
So I have lost track and not been following - who exactly has been injured today and what does that mean for the event??!
In the mens, Alts could come in as there where only 8 players - how would that work in the womens, if someone has played in tier 2 already?!
In the Premier Katie Swan retired. Danielle Daley played singles in Div 1 but dropped out of the dubs having played through injury last week. So two replacements probably needed for tomorrow. Sasha Hill came into singles today having originally been 16th and last alternate. I can't see how anyone can play in both tiers so subs will have to be brought in-maybe from those only currently playing doubles- Anna Popescu, Sonay Kartal, Sally Pethybridge, Annabel Davis, Soumeya Anane, Alannah Griffin. Problem is that most of those have only ever wanted to play doubles-in some cases because of existing injuries.

Do they have a published entry list at all? If you have a link that would be fab.

Dates back to 2013 so not much relevance to recognition now, particularly given Jo is clearly in a much different place. I just recalled that tennus had come up before in Pointless and did a search ( which actually worked ).
The final round had "British women ranked in the top 500" and two other tennis catdgories. 7 out of the 11 women were pointless answers. Laura 'won' with just 19/100.r

Good to hear Naomi Cavaday commentating - at least she knows what and who she is talking about, unlike her fellow commentator who just referred to Christie Freya
So to round up, Katie B beat Alice 6-1 6-4 in the final Premier singles match. 2nd set was on serve until the 9th game.
I'm not sure on the OOP tomorrow, or what'll happen with Katie S, but we could end up with a nothing group match between Boulter and Burrage (unless that's tomorrow), which could be a rehearsal for the final.

It was 2013 but I suspect it would end up with a similar number of pointless names now as well...
Yes I did get round to looking at the link from 2013.That was the time Laura was at her peak and had the successful run at the 2012 US Open. 19 /100 wasn't really a very good score. Jo was not on the radar in those days. It would be interesting to see the scores now.
