Week 25 - Special Event - Schroders Battle of the Brits - NTC, Roehampton, United Kingdom (Indoor Hard)

Ryan doing well versus Cam, 5-3 up. Would be a great scalp for Ryan if he can win.

Great effort from Ryan, especially as he has come in a short notice. But well done to Cam. Rumours coming out of the NTC say that he has been looking extremely good in practice.

Andy and Kyle good standard. I voted Kyle to win in the poll, but would love andy to win!

Murray at 80% is still better than Kedders with all the mistakes and lack of consistency. Lost count how many he's hit long.

Ryan was very impressive.

More of a psychological hurdle for Kedders against Murray I suspect.

Naive question- why did they choose to play the tournament indoors? LTA advice is to play outside and data has shown less likely to transmit virus outside.

I believe I read that the decision to play indoors was something to do with the requirements for televising the event.  Once again the needs of tv take precedence over the well being of the players who would clearly be safer playing outdoors.  I believe the British Tour events will be played outdoors on hard courts.

Not changing ends would be a bit unfair outdoors as well but not much problem indoors?

Kedders consistency helped by two fortunate net drops at the close of the second and it's one set each. I sensed Murray's level dropped a little there, a little fatigued.

I wonder who will replace him. looks like Aidan McHugh is there however Lloyd is above him in the ranking. I assume it will be one of those.

Kedders comes good, his best shot of the match pulling that cross court pass from somewhere, Murray looks fagged but he's limping..

Pleased for Kedders of course. For Murray, it is more important to be competitive at this stage and come through without any indication of injury.

Wondering if we might see a rematch of these two in the final, although I am sure Evo will have something to say about that.
