Here are some career highlights from the EASTBOURNE GROUP

Ash Barty - from Queensland, Australia, aged 24. 2019 was her career high year, winning the FO and Tour Finals, and in June 2019, reaching #1, and since September she has been the #1 player in the womens game

Roger Federer - from Switzerland and still lives there, aged 38. 20 Grand Slam titles and 6 Tour Finals titles to his name, a record number of weeks at #1, he has a real claim to be the so called GOAT in the mens game

Paul Hutchins - sadly died a year or so ago aged 73. From Bristol, originally . He reached the AO and USO 3rd round in 1968, and was GB Davis Cup Captain, most famously when we reached the Final in 1978

Rod Laver - Won 11 Slam titles and won 2 calendar year Grand Slams, the only man to do this. From Queensland, in 1961 he was ranked #1 by Lance Tingay for the ILTF. Again, has a claim to be the GOAT.

Sabine Lisicki - Now aged 30, lives in Florida (near Monica Seles) and originally from Germany. RU Wimbledon in 2013 and reached a ranking high of #12 in May 2012.

Martina Navratilova - Now aged 63, born in Prague but now a US Citizen and living in Miami. Won 18 slams and 8 Tour Finals, and in total won 167 tour titles, reaching #1 in 1978. Someone who quite possibly has the title GOAT in their sites.

No one in this group has ever played anyone else, all from different eras of the game, or different circles that they moved in!
