So through the day, I will put some career highlights up for members of that group, starting with BIRMINGHAM GROUP:
Beth Grey - officially Sarah Beth, previously Sarah Beth Askew. Highest ranking to date is 426 , 24 years of age and from Liverpool. Wimbledon best so far is losing in qualies R1 in 2018. Perhaps the least known player (globally) in the field?
Tim Henman - hails from Oxfordshire, now 45. Reached 6 career grand slam semis and 4 of those at Wimbledon. Reached #4 in the World Rankings in July 2002
Andy Murray - Now 33, from Scotland of course, lives in Surrey. Has won 3 slams including twice at Wimbledon, plus 2 Olympic Gold Medals and a Tour Finals. Reached #1 in November 2016. His record, though, is probably only 3rd best in this group.
Aggie Radwanska - from Poland, aged 31. Reached #2 in July 2012, reaching the Wimbledon Final that year for her only slam final appearance. Won the Tour Finals in Singapore in 2015
Ken Rosewall - Now 85 years old, from Sydney, Australia. Was ranked #1 in 1960 by Lance Tingay for the ILTF. Won 8 Grand Slam titles, but never Wimbledon, 4 time RU there. Won the WCT Finals in Dallas twice. Based on record, possibly the greatest in this group?
Monica Seles - from Serbia, now lives in Florida and represents USA nowadays. Won 9 slams but like Rosewall , never won Wimbledon reaching 1 final, and won 3 Tour Finals. Alongside Rosewall, she is quite possibly the greatest in this in this group.
In terms of H2H records, only Murray and Henman from this group have ever played one another, Murray had a 3-1 record in their H2H matches, in 2005/6.
At the risk of being predictable, can only be Andy Im afraid and with only 2 to go through, no room for tactical voting!
Yes, I just went straight for my favourites in each group in R1 ( well once I had worked out who that was in one or two groups ), including Andy here, although guess we had quite a bit of scope here.
I might take a chance varying things in the SFs as it is important that the 'right' players reach the grand final
