Aargh - I pressed the wrong button. It was between Newcombe and Rosewall, both of whom I have backed all through. I meant to go for Newcombe but pushed Ken instead! No matter, I can live with my mistake. IMO either would be a worthy winner although Jonny Mac looking favourite at the moment.

14 votes in, maybe half what we might get and mcenroe has established a 3 vote lead, on 5. Time for others to catch him but at the moment the other votes are spread over 5 players.

Let's see what tomorrow brings.

Hi Brittak, I'm happy to make a note and amend the totals if you prefer to swap? Newcombe has 0 and rosewall 2 as it stands, it would make both 1 vote if you swap. Let me know. Cheers

Thanks Jon, dont worry. Leave with Ken Rosewall - it might mean that one of my choices might make the top 3!

Cheers (and btw thanks for doing all this. From last week I know how much time this takes so cheers for committing the time).

No worries, I enjoy it in fact. Largely.

I plan one more poll event next week, the favourite of favourites , a sort of version of a strictly xmas special! Then I think that will see me done for a while !

Ken moves onto 3 votes now, 16 votes in.

Closes at 5.30 , hopefully still plenty of action to come.

Mens votes at 16. Past rounds for mens weve averaged 20 so I hope we have another 6 or so to beat that left.

Vote closes at 5.30

Big spread now of players on 2 or 3. Needs on of them to gain momentum to pressure mac.

19 votes in now, so up to par almost and plenty of time left

Agassi and Mecir the two with no votes so far. Nearly voted for Andre, but in terms of what he adds to the game still (and thus throughout his life), decided that Jonny Mac couldn't be beat. He was certainly one of the first people that really made tennis exciting for me since it wasn't a sport I grew up playing.

I feel sorry for Mecir but head and heart says let's add another vote for Johnny Mac.
