Well, it's Domi or Evonne, ain't it. I'll sleep on it.
I see that they doing equally well so far
On the other hand, theres only half the votes in or less that we can expect (12 and weve averaged 23 so far and typically get more in finals) so plenty of time, and they're only 3 behind the leaders.
I had 3 or 4 to choose from but have stuck with Chris Evert who I have backed all the way through.
Her rivalry with Martina was a fantastic story over many years and they continually pushed each other to improve although Martina had the upper hand at the end of Chriss career.
Well it's put Chris ahead on 4 votes, with martina in 3 alongside aggie. Steffi is on 2 with Mauresmo, my pre match favourite to win, steffi, is struggling to get a foothold just now.
15 votes in, based on British event brittak ran and semis etc here, I'm hoping we can make it to close to 30 votes in both events, high 20s, and with a weekend day to come tomorrow think we will get more action than on recent day times, with luck.
Yes it's an excellent finals list but you're right the pre poll favourite Steffi is not in that tie, and the second most polled player in the previous rounds, Li Na, is not even in the final. That's all in part because that SF Group A had so many people in it that many had voted for in R1.
I was reading Maria Bueno's back story too and I'm glad to see her in the final, as well as Evonne even though neither have picked up votes here yet.
